Jan G. van der Watt is Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament and Source Texts of Early Christianity at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is the author of An Introduction to the Johannine Gospel and Letters (T&T Clark) and the co-editor of the forthcoming Reading the Bible in Africa: Experimenting with a Hermeneutic of Contextual Relevance (LIT Verlag).
