In this follow-up to Toward a Theology of the Septuagint: Stellenbosch Congress on the Septuagint, 2018 (2020), contributors demonstrate what a theology of the Septuagint should look like. Essays address questions of methodology, and case studies from different books show the relevance and benefits of a theological approach. Johann Cook is Professor Emeritus at the University of Stellenbosch. He is the author of numerous books on the Septuagint and related literature. He is the coeditor, along with Martin Rösel, of Toward a Theology of the Septuagint: Stellenbosch Congress on the Septuagint, 2018 (2020).

Wolfgang Kraus is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Saarland University. He is coeditor in chief of Septuaginta Deutsch and of the Handbook to the Septuagint. He is the coeditor of XV Congress of the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies: Munich, 2013 (2016).

Martin Rösel is Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at the University of Rostock. He was author and coeditor for Septuaginta Deutsch, the German translation of the Septuagint with commentary volumes. He is the coeditor, along with Johann Cook, of Toward a Theology of the Septuagint: Stellenbosch Congress on the Septuagint, 2018 (2020).
